Love lentil and bacon soup. We had it a lot when I was small as it was cheap. Made with bacon bones, and a bag of soup veg from grocers plus extra carrots.

That sounds lovely!

We don't really see bacon bones here anymore, but if I do get a ham on the bone, I certainly make as much stock as I can with it as well as saving the cooking liquor stock.
